The 3 limited time offers on the American Express Delta rewards credit cards are ending on September 8th, 2014 (not sure what time).
The personal and business Delta Gold offers come with a sign up bonus of 50,000 Delta Skymiles after spending only $1,000 in 3 months. You can also receive a $50 statement credit if you make a Delta purchase in the same 3 month period. The $95 annual fee is waived for the first year.
The Delta Gold cards come with priority boarding and free checked bag (for up to 8 passengers), and 20% discount on inflight food & beverage purchases.
I love the low minimum spending requirement on this card, and that you can get free checked bags for up to 8 passengers!

The other limited time offer is for the American Express Platinum Delta card.
The Platinum Delta Skymiles card comes with a sign-up bonus of 50,000 Skymiles and 15,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $1,000 in 3 months. You will also get a $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase in the same 3 month period. The $195 annual fee isn’t waived for the first year.
The annual fee isn’t waived, but you do get a larger statement credit and elite qualifying MQM miles.
The Platinum card also comes with priority boarding and free checked bags (up to 8 passengers), as well as a domestic economy companion certificate.
Beyond the 15,000 MQMs, there’s a spending bonus on this rewards card. First, you can earn 10,000 bonus miles and 10,000 MQMs when you spend $25,000 or more in purchases on your card in a calendar year. For even bigger spenders, you can earn an additional 10,000 bonus miles and 10,000 MQMs after you spend $50,000 or more in purchases on your card in a calendar year.
This is a good offer for Delta loyalists who are big spenders.

Conclusion
Although Skymiles aren’t my favorite rewards points, there’s still value to be had with 50,000 Skymiles. You can get two round-trip domestic tickets, or a flight to Hawaii (45k Skymiles). It’s also a good opportunity to diversify your miles and apply for a card from American Express.
Remember, you can only get a sign-up bonus once on a personal American Express rewards card. That means if you have received a bonus on the personal Delta Gold or Platinum cards, you won’t be eligible for these offers. You can get a sign-up bonus again on a business card if it’s been 12 months since you closed your previous card.
If you’re wanting to do a round of credit card applications, don’t forget about these offers.
