If you like cheap ways to get to Europe in business class, 50,000 points travel credit card offers, and just general rewards news – this post is for you. Enjoy.
Cheap Business Class Tickets to Europe
Yesterday, British Airways announced a two day sale on business class tickets to Europe on select routes.
These round-trip business class tickets are priced out at $2015. That’s a pretty good deal for a revenue ticket to Europe. BUT, it gets better. You can bring that total down $400 through an AARP discount if you travel before March! You must have an AARP membership, but that’s only $16 a year. Plus, you will receive an additional 10% off if you book on British Airways metal and use the British Airways Visa Signature® Card code “Cardofferforu” in the evoucher/promotion code spot. And you can even get the cost down to right under $500 if you use 30,000 Avios, because British Airways lets you use cash and miles for redemptions.
You will also earn elite qualifying miles for flying, and on the purchase, so make sure you use a rewards card that earns multiple points per $1 on airline purchases. Also, if you’re flying before Jan. 31, register for the British Airways promotion where you can earn 25,000 Avios!
Again, the steps:
- Sign up for AARP
- Go through the AARP promotion link to search and book
- Enter in “CARDOFFERFORU” code to save 10%
- Use 30,000 Avios to take $764 off your total
- Register for the BA promotion so you can earn 25k miles
- Use the right travel card for the purchase, so you earn multiple points per $1
- Go to Europe!
You must book your tickets by midnight on Friday, 10/16/2016.
Hat Tip: I saw this deal first on TPG & MMS
50,000 Offers on Delta Skymiles Cards
Running w/ Miles writes that you can receive 50,000 Delta Skymiles after spending $2,000 in 3 months on the personal and business Delta Gold offers. You will also receive a $50 statement credit after making an eligible Delta purchase. The $95 annual fee is waived for the first year.
I’m not the biggest fan of Delta Skymiles, but here’s my post on some ways to redeem them for max value.
Marriott Makes Some Changes
Marriott has announced a new “Fab Four” to their loyalty program.
The four new benefits to the Marriott program are:
- Cash & points stays – see more details
- Redemption stay credit – see more details
- Points sharing – see more details
- Points advance – see more details
I think these are great new additions (a couple aren’t new, but they weren’t advertised much) to the Marriott program, and make it a little more flexible and comparable to other top loyalty chains. However, these new changes won’t sway me from Hyatt or SPG. I prefer their properties and programs, and it’s not even close.

I love the Ink business cards because of their 5x earning categories. Helps me keep earning cherished Ultimate Rewards points!
